After several detours, Geerke arrived at the patent business. She is responsible for the administrative processes concerning patent applications, such as monitoring deadlines, but also for keeping in touch with customers. She is training to become a Certified Formalities Officer in order to know all the ins & outs of the rules and regulations concerning patents.
